Back to Work....!

I’m sure everyone is sick to death of the weather we have been having, at last it seems like it’s going to start warming up….. fingers crossed.

I was lucky enough to have a holiday in Rajasthan at the worst point, there was a blizzard on the day I left and another on the day I returned! The holiday was fantastic. I had worked in Calcutta for a fashion company when I was younger but never had the chance to travel.

We hired a driver called Vinod who was a similar age to us so drove at a sedate pace, thank god. We travelled massive distances from Jaipur to Mandawa, Fatephur, Sitalanger, Bikaner, Khuri, Jaisalmer, Rankapoor, Udaipur, Todgarth, and back to Jaipur. Stayed in some fabulous Havelis, slept in the desert and rode a camel, saw forts and palaces. Visited Vinod’s family farm had lunch and met the ‘cobra man‘. Every second there was something to look at…. the colour, painting, carving, and chaos were invigorating .

I’m not a great photographer but I could see photo opportunities everywhere. The holiday was an inspiration although we didn’t get much chance to relax... we were away for just ten days.

It was the tonic I needed to get through this long winter.

Back to work…

We are topping up current maker’s ranges and looking for new ideas ready for the Festival in May.

Pop in and have a look there is so much more that I havn’t included. I will let you know soon what’s new for May.

Ros Weaver’s rubber band jewellery is great, necklaces and bracelets made from rubber bands! It is tactile and comfortable to wear, strong simple colours. The red/black range with its burst of coloured bands is sculptural but still easy to wear. To top it all they are an affordable price so perfect as a gift for yourself or a friend.

Prices start £5.95

In addition to Hannah Turner’s Owl range of tableware there is now the Birdy range. Again teapots, creamer jugs and mugs are in stock at the moment. We also have two types of egg cup an owl and a bird which are great shapes. You could choose a couple of items and they would make a great birthday or wedding gift.

Prices start £11.95

Kirsty Kirkpatrick’s jewellery is selling well and she’s added earings and a smaller necklace to her range plus more choice of colour. A fabulous combination of wood, laser cutting and vintage chain makes for a very contemporary vibe.

Prices start £25.95
