Birds of May

It's May so that can only mean Brighton is once again a bustling cultural hubbub of music, theatre, dance and art as the Brighton Festival and Fringe Festival take over the city for a month. With the theme of this years festival being Migration, there's been ton of avian-centric exhibitions and shows this year. Here at Appendage we particularly enjoyed the Dawn Chorus exhibition at the Fabrica Gallery and since we've already been huge fans of bird designs, there's plenty of items in our shop to compliment your festival experience.

Chris's prints combine the iconic images of starling murmuration, that can usually be spotted over Brighton's pier, with vintage maps and his own illustrations of Brighton life. If you are a fan of his striking work, his books in boxes are a new addition to his range.

 Prints: £60.00 Cards: £2.95

Mark's prints depict much loved garden birds in a charming graphic style. Whether you choose to put several together in a flock or just have one on its own, these prints will enhance your world.

Prints start at: £44.00 Cards: £2.95

There's no bird more strongly associated with Brighton than seagulls, so its fitting that they're strongly represented at Appendage with these wooden souvenirs by Poppy. The perfect reminder for your visit. Also available are these cheap and cheerful embroidered bird badges. A lot of fun and suitable for all ages!

Prices: £5.95

Kate's badges and tattoos are part of her garden and coastal bird range which also includes prints and cards. If all the birds at this years festival have got you twitching for the life of a twitcher, then these are perfect for you.
